About Me

CEO of Adessa Partners - Rob Rutledge

I built a successful Executive Coaching Practice based on applying the expertise of 25 years of CEO and business unit leadership in North America.  I have walked in the shoes of C-Suite leaders having:

  • Led multi-disciplinary business units across North America;
  • Co-Founded a successful startup and led early ventures in the Silicon Valley and Toronto that were ranked by Profit 100 as the fastest-growing private companies in Canada.


As a C-Suite leader, I have:

  • Transformed legacy businesses into new ventures;
  • Launched new products in international markets;
  • Rightsized organizations while keeping employee morale and productivity high;
  • Built brands from scratch;
  • Launched enterprise-wide technology while maintaining excellence in business metrics (customer satisfaction, operations productivity, and P&L performance);
  • Calmly handled business crises dealing with core operational failures, toxic cultures, employee and partner fraud, and organizational harassment;
  • Managed geographically disperse, multi-functional teams.


My success has always been made possible because of my teams.  Throughout my career, I was known as a leader who brought out the best in his teams and transformed individuals' performance.


Today, I use those practices and learnings to help leaders become the best version of themselves and help their teams achieve their potential.  My work includes:


  • Empathetic listening skills that allow me to have an in-depth understanding of the client's situation;
  • Application of data from 3rd party assessments, 360-degree feedback, interviews, and intuition to undercover the levers of growth for leadership excellence;
  • Honest conversation methodology that holds a mirror to the C-Suite Executive looking to take a step-level change in professional performance.
